How we assess this industry
Kajino Scout covers the casino industry as a business, for an industry readership. Our assessments are built from the documented record: operator disclosures and monthly revenue reports, regulator publications and license terms, government announcements, and established industry press. We do not visit gaming floors as customers, we do not review the player experience, and we never frame coverage as guidance on where or whether to gamble. Every figure is attributed — “per the operator’s disclosure”, “per the regulator”, “as reported by industry press” — and claims we cannot trace to a document are hedged or cut. Forecasts, including analyst and industry projections, are always labeled as forecasts; we never invent quotes, statistics, or dates, and we do not present projections as settled fact.
What our scores mean
Scores run 0–10 and grade a business position, not an experience: revenue trajectory against the property’s own history, cost and levy exposure, market structure, and how much of the bull case is fact versus forecast. A 7 is a sound business with real exposures. An 8 is a strong position with risks the operator cannot fully control. A 9 is rare and means we struggled to find a structural fault. Scores are judgments, not averages of sub-scores, and every assessment lists genuine cons — if we can’t find any, we haven’t read the filings closely enough. No score is investment advice, and none can be bought.
Disclosure
Kajino Scout is a commercially supported publication. Posts that contain affiliate links, and posts that are sponsored, carry a disclosure with the post. Sponsored and affiliate links are marked as such in the page's code. Sponsors never see, edit, or approve editorial copy, and no score can be bought — see our advertising page for what is and isn't for sale.
Bylines
Kajino Scout publishes under house bylines maintained by the editorial team. Iris Kang, the editor’s byline on our assessments, is a disclosed house pen name — the accountable editorial identity for everything published under it, in the tradition of publications that write under a house name. News runs under “Staff, Kajino Scout.” We do not publish fabricated author biographies or invented credentials.
Corrections
If we've published an error — a revenue figure, a levy rate, a date, anything — we want to know. Reach the editorial desk via the contact page. We correct promptly and note material corrections in the post.
